Sometimes all you want from a tarot reading is a brief summary of the circumstance and the course it is taking.
You may also want to have access to your reading so you can go back and learn more from it. What if you also want to use certain additional strategies specific to the tarot reading, such as elemental dignities?
As I will show, the 1-2-3 Tarot Reading will provide you with all of that and more.
Three
Set the stage by arranging three cards in a row that will describe the current situation.
Of the
The first three cards show you the direction your circumstance is going; place the next two cards on top of them. These two cards are intriguing, as the next stage in the evolution of your circumstance is often the result of the two overlapping and closely linked cards.
A
Place the last card on top of the first two, covering them both. This is what you expect to happen in your scenario and is, once again, the result of the previous two cards.
Tarot reading 1-2-3
I did a reading for myself using this simple tarot spread using the lovely Sun and Moon Tarot to demonstrate its power.
Three
The 10 of Wands, the 10 of Pentacles and the Universe can be seen if we look at the top line (the World) first.
This makes a lot of sense to me, as I have been giving this project my full attention and while I like to see it come together, I also feel the pressure. As for the first stage, it is almost finished and so far I am quite happy with it.
Of the
The 4 of Wands is the result of the 10 of Wands and the 10 of Pentacles, meaning that the second line is a product of the first. What a fantastic element!
We can argue that the 10 of Pentacles supported and gave life to the 10 of Wands, which led to the 4 of Wands, our first stage of realization. If we read those three cards as a triad, they also form an intriguing combination.
The 10 of Pentacles and the Universe combine to create the second card in the second line, the Ace of Pentacles. How wonderful! The energy of this reading is represented by the 10 of Pentacles, which is working very hard.
I couldn't have wished more to have success and productivity in one line.
A
The 4 of Pentacles represents the outcome of all the cards, or the final conclusion. In most decks, it is not the best card, but in the Sun and Moon Tarot, which combines the Rider Waite-Smith and Thoth Tarots, it denotes foundational power. The establishment of a solid foundation using the creative force of the elements and your own personal strength.
The 4 of Pentacles is a fantastic card in light of this and as a result card. The 4 of Wands was cemented and shaped by the Ace of Pentacles.. There is now a solid framework for the first stage. I am happy and can now see the 10 of Wands more clearly.
The Universe, the 4 of Wands and the Ace of Pentacles have a pattern of three repeating circles, signifying cycles and continuity and forming the ideal grouping of three:
Triplicity, expressiveness, development of concepts and first steps towards plenitude.
Tarot Tip: Elemental Dignities can be used if you wish, as there are more than three cards in this spread. For more detail, you can also read in groups of two or three and create tarot card combos.
